The Indigo Road’s Chef Brett McKee and Steve Palmer of Oak Steakhouse and O-Ku Japanese Restaurant have again partnered to open the first Roadside Kitchen, 17 North. Located on Highway 17 in historic Mt. Pleasant, the roadside kitchen is a true farm-to-plate experience, with a menu encompassing seasonal ingredients from local purveyors and fresh vegetables taken from the on-site garden.
Formerly a barbeque restaurant, the building exudes a rustic masculinity, updated with a modern sensibility featuring warm earth tones and natural materials. Taking inspiration from the straightforward approach of the cuisine and sustainable growth, every element of the design proudly displays the back-to-basics philosophy. 17 North is a comfortable place to gather with friends and family over a great home-style meal. Palmer’s passion for service and commitment to excellence combined with McKee’s culinary mastery, 17 North offers comforting service, culinary delights and an inviting environment. The result is a truly memorable and incredible experience for each and every guest. |
